Record the highlights of your month at the end of every month. Like doing your timesheets, this is easier the sooner you do it after each event.

Benefits of journalling include:

Keeping a list of things you have to be grateful for.

Helping you keep track of time. If you don't occasionally reflect on the years (and the decades) that have passed, time will pass you by quickly.

By way of illustration, I am sure you regularly look back on the year and think "How is it Q2/ H2/ December already??" If you genuinely cannot remember how you got there, that time is a void to you and with each of us having a finite amount on this Earth, I would suggest that is a very very bad thing.
